As some of you may or may not know, we recently lost a very dear friend and co-worker. John "Jack" Skelly passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2008.

If you had the pleasure of knowing Jack, then you know from where I speak, if not, let me tell you little bit of our "Old Speckled Hen". Jack was a sweet, kind, kindred soul. He always found the silver lining no matter how cloudy the day. He was a good listener and actually heard you when you talked to him. Jack loved his family and his friends with commitment. He would give the most for the most pleasure of seeing someone else happy. He seemed to enjoy his short tenure with us here at the MB and I know from the customers that he sure was an asset for us.

As he would say, "Scotty, life is just too damn short" enjoy yourself NOW. Well, I for one have realized where he was coming from, NOW. Life is too short, we all need to make sure that those we care about understand it, that means we have to SAY it when we can and not get caught up in the little things that seem sooo important, yet carry very little weight or consequence.

We have collected funds which we will donating to SAFE HOMES in Jacks honor, so if you wish to donate just ask any of the bartenders, they will be happy to accept your contribution towards this worthwhile cause.

I miss you my friend, but you have taught me to live and I hope I can live up to you kind of living.
